What is Chronic Lung Disease?
Chronic Lung Disease (CLD) is the same as bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). When a baby needs to be on a respirator and oxygen for a long time, it makes the lung tissue swell and scar. This causes the lung tissue to not develop normally.
